    Are you involved with any of the groups that were in the parade? Have you (and/or Van) marched in the parade before? If not, would you consider doing so in the future?

    I’ve not been in a Pride Parade myself, but I imagine it’s a powerful experience. I did march in a protest march here in Cali after Proposition 8 passed unexpectedly (passed in 2008 – it outlawed same sex marriage) It was truly an affirming and empowering experience to see that many people (including a lot of heteros with their kids) show up to march with us in protest.

    • My church marches with other affirming congregations but I didn’t participate this year. If life lasts I will next year. A friend of ours from Puerto Rico who lives in New York and was visiting us rode on the Leather float. And you ate so right…it is a powerful, moving experience.
